Patrick Burrus serves as a Senior Project Manager at GrandCanyon Development Partners. Mr. Burrus began his career in construction and engineering in 1984 working for Caesars Entertainment. He joined Caesars as the Facilities Maintenance Engineer and rose his way through the ranks to Assistant Director of Facilities. During his 22 years with Caesars Entertainment, he was responsible for coordinating capital projects and overseeing the operations of the physical plant, building systems, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems.
In 2008, Mr. Burrus joined the Fontainebleau team in Las Vegas, NV. As the Chief Engineer of Facilities, he managed the construction, led the LEED Certification compliance team, and developed the Operating Supplies and Equipment budget for the property. In 2010, upon the original project closure of the Fontainebleau, Patrick joined the Cosmopolitan team. As the Facilities Manager for the Cosmopolitan, he remained actively involved in the finishing, testing, and opening of the 6.5 million sq. ft. facility to public occupancy. He oversaw the Federal and State regulatory permitting and developed the department management and communication structure of the property while directing the operations of the physical plant, building systems, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems.
Once completed, Mr. Burrus stepped into the role of Chief Engineer of Facilities at Luxor Hotel and Casino. Some of his most recent projects with our organization include large-scale healthcare developments such as University Medical Center (UMC), as well as many high-profile tenant improvements and other commercial ventures. With this wealth of working knowledge and professional experience, he brings a unique background of experience to Grand Canyon Development Partners which provides him with an exceptional ability to communicate effectively with owners, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and project staff.
Mr. Burrus possesses excellent problem-solving capabilities and examines unique and creative ways to accomplish complex tasks. His knowledge and experience in construction estimating, critical path modeling, cost management, civil, and underground construction make him a valuable asset to any project team.
